Most vacuums spit ash back out into the air. Here at Love-Less,our three gallon canisters are sealed using metal clamps and an o-ring. You won't have ash on your furniture, and you won't have ash particles in your lungs.
The Lynx is designed to suck up cold to warm fine ash. Ash takes seven days to reach a true ""cold"" state - we don't want you to wait that long. While this vacuum should not be used with hot ash or coals, should you accidentally suck up too hot of ash or a live coal, this vacuum will not catch fire. The flame-resistant filters will protect up to 1000 degrees F, while the thermal plastic components will never catch fire.
Having warm ash with moving air can have a ""bellows"" effect, heating up the air and materials rapidly. The Lynx has an internal, automatic thermal shutoff which will shut down the vacuum should the air inside become too hot. Once the air has cooled down to a safe temperature, you will be back to vacuuming!
